TESTIMONIALS
Yuhan ( GMSS Sec 4 )
Gary is an approachable and committed tutor. He was able to equip me with important compositional phrases and writing techniques that has helped improve my chinese essays. He also provided me with oral resources and reading materials to prepare me for the O-Level Mother Tongue paper. He has helped me achieve a desirable grade of A2.

His lessons are fun and engaging, I really appreciate how he was very patient when going through a passage and making sure I understood it. He also explains what each chinese character is made up of which helped me better remember the definitions.
Shaun ( Anglo-Chinese School Sec 4 )
I had some initial difficulty with picking up some improved vocabulary for the composition. However, with some advice and teaching, I was slowly able to understand and improve on that!

Over the course of a year with Teacher Gary, I cannot deny that my standard in Chinese has improved. Throughout most of our lessons, I believe Teacher Gary tries his best to make our Higher Chinese lessons enjoyable and engaging for me, whether it be by the occasional joke or by his amiable attitude. For instance, I fondly recall the Higher Chinese Oral lessons that we had four months before the Higher Chinese 'O-level' Oral Examinations. Then, I barely even had the courage to open my mouth to deliver my answers, and even so, I would not have sufficient vocabulary to express my ideas clearly. This, of course, resulted in my regular failure when it came to my Higher Chinese Oral Examination. However, after a month or two of Teacher Gary's constant coaxing and guidance, I could begin to speak confidently and concisely. This eventually contributed to my 'Merit' grade for the Higher Chinese 'O-level' Oral Examinations. Putting the academics aside, I firmly believe that my proficiency in Higher Chinese has also improved with the help of Teacher Gary, allowing me to express my ideas (by word or by speech) more confidently. I only have a piece of advice for every potential student of Teacher Gary. If you are unsure of anything, don't be afraid to speak up and ask; Teacher Gary won't bite!

By repetitively doing exercises over and over again, I start to gain the basic skill of sitting for Chinese exams.
